How Tidewater Plumbing & Gas handles the details you send through this website.
The short version
Tidewater Plumbing & Gas only collects the details you type into the enquiry form on this website, and only uses them to answer your enquiry. This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and does not track you.
What we collect
Only what you choose to send us. If you fill in the enquiry form or the chat box on this website, we receive:
- your name
- your email address
- your phone number, if you give one
- the suburb or area the job is in, if you tell us
- which service you are asking about, if you pick one
- whatever you write in the message
What we do with it
We use it to reply to you, to price the work, and to do the job if you go ahead. That is all. We do not sell it, rent it, or pass it to anyone for marketing, and we will not add you to a mailing list because you asked for a quote.
Where it is kept
This website is built and hosted by EasyPage. When you send an enquiry it is saved in EasyPage's database, which is hosted in Sydney, Australia, and a copy is emailed to us so we see it straight away. That email passes through an email provider that operates overseas.
Storing your details in Australia means they leave New Zealand. They are held by a provider that is required to protect them to a standard comparable to the Privacy Act 2020, but you should know that is where they sit.
We keep enquiries for as long as we might reasonably need them — to quote, to do the work, and afterwards for our records and for as long as tax and consumer law requires. When we no longer need an enquiry, it is deleted.
Cookies and tracking
This website does not set cookies, and there is no analytics, advertising or tracking software on it. Nothing follows you to other websites and there is no banner to dismiss, because there is nothing to consent to.
If a page here shows a YouTube video, it is embedded through youtube-nocookie.com, which does not set cookies unless you press play. Once you do, YouTube's own privacy policy applies to what it collects.
Our website host records the usual technical information a web server records in order to serve pages and block abuse. Your IP address is used for a few minutes to stop the enquiry form being flooded, and is not stored with your enquiry.

Your enquiry is visible to:
- Tidewater Plumbing & Gas, so we can reply to you
- EasyPage, who run and maintain this website
- the hosting, database and email providers EasyPage uses to deliver it
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask for a copy of it, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong. There is no charge for asking, and we will answer within 20 working days.
You can also ask us to delete an enquiry. We will unless we are required to keep it.
